After learning about St. Patrick and how he used a shamrock to illustrate the concept of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we had a little fun! We worked together in small groups to design leprechaun traps. Although we didn't catch any leprechauns, we did find a note from "Lucky Leprechaun" and some gold treats on our desks when we returned from music class. He also left behind a wee bit of a mess for us to clean up. At snack time, we used Lucky Charms cereal to practice graphing, measuring, and fractions, before filling our tummies.
